INTRODUCTION TO

TAINAN DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL
RESEARCH & EXTENSION STATION, COA

SOIL FERTILIZER

The Station provides diagnostic services to determine soil fertility, leaf nutrient, and optimum fertilizers. A mixture of bagasse, coconut fiber, rice hull and tree bark with peat soil can serve as a culture medium for Aroids ornamental plants. The Station helps farmers to establish an organic fertilizer composting system using agricultural debris such as rice hulls, dung and used sawdust from mushroom culture. The Station also conducts trials and demonstrations on organic agricultural production to produce safe food.
