AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION
As an agricultural research unit, we enhance agricultural human resources through specialized training like farmer schools and extension programs. We address labor shortages with technician training and mentorship. Our involvement in the "Top 100 Young Farmers" initiative provides technical guidance and training, supporting 30% of participants.
We empower communities by helping farmers associations establish green care and educational sites. We offer professional courses and assist teachers with workshops, educating children on local agriculture, healthy eating, and conservation. We've also created demonstration green spaces for agricultural education and horticultural therapy, open for visits.
We boost agricultural productivity by assisting groups in establishing "Agricultural Management Zones" and championing the "Small Landowners, Big Professional Farming" project, covering over 12,500 hectares (over 54% of the national total). We help formulate good agricultural practices and promote product traceability.
Annually, we host open days, fruit festivals, and vegetable quality competitions to foster knowledge exchange, refine farmer techniques, and promote local produce. We organize technical consultation seminars to disseminate agricultural policies and aid indigenous communities in developing unique crops, cuisine, and rural tourism for sustainable development.
Our website provides agricultural expertise, pest/disease diagnosis, soil testing, and publication orders. We distribute magazines and technical materials, also available online. We actively engage on social media (Facebook, YouTube, LINE@) to disseminate information and enhance interaction. Additionally, our farmer and consumer service centers offer pioneering LINE consultation services, receiving positive feedback.
